Psalm 119 Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet is a Daily Bible Reading Study by Deborah H. Bateman. Psalm 119 is located in the center of the Bible and is the longest chapter in the Bible. Psalm 119 is about the importance of God’s Word in the life of the Psalmist and in your life as well.
Psalm 119 is broken up into twenty-two stanzas of eight verses each so Deborah created twenty-two short daily devotional lessons which can be used for personal daily devotions or group Bible studies. Each stanza in Psalm 119 starts with a letter from the Hebrew alphabet so you will also learn about one letter of the Hebrew alphabet with each lesson.
Deborah includes a brief commentary, the Daily Bible Reading Scripture, a prayer, and a few questions at the end of each lesson for personal reflection or group discussion. This study will encourage you and inspire you to read and study the Bible, God's Holy Word.

I just finished in time another book for review when trails and tribulation started with me. So I decided to read the Psalm 119 by Deborah H. Bateman.It was just on time. Reading through her book's wonderful explanation and reading about the Psalmist own trails and tribulation, I now know that my Lord and Savoir is with me and won’t leave me and bring me through my trails. Even I knew the book and have read it lots of times in my bible, but it was just for now.
I just finished the book today, but my tails are not over yet, but I know and I am convinced I will come through and out whole and grateful.
I recommend that book for everyone who has a similar experience. But again you don’t need to go through trails to read it and enjoy it. It is for everyone who loves the Lord.
Deborah you did it again. I have nearly read all of your books now and each and every one I enjoyed and loved. Thank you Deborah, Wonderful written

I recommend this book if you are looking for something inspirational very helpful, insightful. The questions at the end of the chapters are very thought-provoking.

Psalm 119 - Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet by Deborah H. Bateman is an excellent commentary and Bible study of the longest chapter found in the Bible. Though it could be read as a daily study, I found I could not put it down and finished it in a couple of reading sessions.
Deborah H. Bateman did a great job of putting together a short, concise guide to this powerful Psalm. Her style of writing made it easy to follow and understand. Her narrative was both simple and to the point, while leaving plenty of room for the reader to apply the verses to their life and situation.
At the end of each lesson the author asked several questions in a section called "Things to Think About." I found these to be very thought provoking and extremely insightful.
I really enjoyed Psalm 119 - Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet by Deborah H. Bateman and I highly recommend this book to all readers.
I'm enjoying pairing the Psalm 119 devotional with my regular readings in The One Year Bible. The observations and questions add to my insight and inspiration. I like the brevity of each lesson, yet each is pithy. I recommend this devotional/study guide.
Here once again is an excellent study from Deborah , she has a way of helping me/us/ to get to do daily lessons and take some time out to follow along with Gods word and learn what his promises are for us . This is in my opinion the best way to get to do a personal study and that is to have someone come along side and do it with you ,I love having Deborah with me as I approach the lesson to learn in her book. She offers you plenty to think about as you travel through her sessions.
I recently started buying Deborah Bateman's Edition e-books as short Bible Studies I use to start my day. I was delighted to find each of her books, just what I needed. Deborah's goal is to share the Word of God with simplicity and love. To give you a short burst of comfort and illumination for the day ahead. Without having to look up the original Hebrew and Greek words, and ponder over deeply provoking thoughts, she shares the deepest meaning of the Scriptures she is sharing, enabling you to easily apply it to your day. I have now bought 3 of her books and I am extremely happy with all of them. What a great way to start the morning. I highly recommend her other two books Give Thanks and How to Live a Blessed Life based on the Sermon on the Mount.
